Training Classes

There are three training classes available, Puppy Classes, Beginner Gundog Classes and Intermediate Gundog Classes.
 

Leanne plans the program for each class suitable for the age and stage of development for each dog.

Classes contain force free, non-coercive methods and approaches so that training can be enjoyable for both dog and their handler. She emphasised the importance of building strong fundamental skills such as having a solid recall, remaining connected and engaged with their dog during different levels of distractions, general obedience building good manners around food and play plus when out and about meeting and greeting people/dogs making certain dog’s refrain from pulling.

A well behaved dog is more of a good citizen in the community.

For those looking to progress onto their gundog journey, the classes focus on building your dogs skills in obedience, hunting and retrieving as well as strengthening their impulse control and steadiness needed for field work.
 

All of the skills learned can help keep your dogs under control in different environments and put to use in day to day scenarios. This training is suitable for all types of breeds with or without the intention to be worked in the field.
 

Assessments are available for those who wish to complete ‘The Gundog Club Graded Training and Awards Scheme’.
