TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Classes & Workshops

Within the allocated times for the session this includes an introduction at the beginning as well as a reflective discussion at the end.

 

Willow’s Walks Gundog and Behaviour Training provides force free, non - coercive methods and approaches (R+) by offering choice, reward and reinforcement. Any handler applying force/punishment will be guided to use our methods in their training, should this create conflict then the handler will be advised to seek an alternative trainer.

 

Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions prior to booking.

By placing a booking you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted them.

 

Cancellations

  • If cancellation is requested 14 days prior to the date of the event, a credit will be provided to be used towards other services mutually agreed between the owner and the client.

  • The trainer reserves the right to terminate any booking with immediate effect should any dog become dangerous or aggressive during the session. In this instance, the trainer will support and guide the handler as best they can to gain back control of their dog and reduce risk of harm to others.

  • The trainer will provide as much notice as possible should a session need to be cancelled or changes made to relocate to another venue.

  • All cancelled sessions will be automatically transferred onto the next month's program.

  • There will be no monetary refunds due to the outgoing costs to run the sessions.

 

 

Payments

  • If payment is not available online, invoices will be sent out within a few days after booking.

  • When booking group classes, they need to be purchased as a program, this is to ensure all handlers are committed to their training which will ultimately get the best results. In addition, all clients and their dogs start and finish the program together which helps the flow of the lessons and share equal time.

  • Full payment is required in advance.

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer/cash

  • If payment is not received, your booking will be cancelled and reallocated to the next client on the waiting list.

  • You will be able to re-book for the following month.

Liability- Trainer
 

  • Willow’s Gundog and Clicker Training carry public liability insurance relative to the services provided.

  • The Trainer will not be liable for any unforeseen emergencies such as lost, stolen or injured dogs.

  • The Trainer will assess the training area at the beginning, during and at the end of each session to ensure adequate measures are in place to keep all dogs and handlers safe.

  • The Trainer will not be liable for dogs who take longer to respond to training. All dogs respond in a different way and so it needs to be highlighted that at times a goal may take a little longer to achieve.

  • The Trainer will support the handler with their dog’s training and offer advice, guidance and training tips to help reinforce learning and shape behaviours.

  • The Trainer is responsible for making decisions should there be a dog who is presenting symptoms that may cause harm to others. For example, such as coughing which could be suspected KC.

  • The Trainer will request a copy of all dogs vaccination records prior to the course starting.

  • For families attending dog training, the Trainer will ensure that the adult responsible for the child/ren is aware of the instructions that only one child is permitted in the training area per family at one time. All other members need to be observing in a non-distracting area.

  • The Trainer will read and acknowledge all information submitted by every handler to ensure the safety of dogs/children and make a professional judgement during sessions on proceedings, or any adaptations needed to positively commence with the program.

 

 

Liability- Handler/Owner
 

  • The Handler (owner of the dog) shall be liable and responsible for their dog at all times, this includes the welfare of the dog during the sessions. For example, providing your dog (s) with timely breaks, rest, fresh water for drinking, shade on hot days, warm on cold days etc..

  • Should any accident or injury occur during the session, the owner will be liable for medical expenses.

  • The Handler is responsible for cleaning up after their dog, all faeces must be bagged and taken home.

  • The Handler is responsible to work consistently with their dog following the training tips and advice to ensure the best outcomes.

  • The Handler is liable in following the instructions of the Trainer on the day of the sessions to ensure everyone’s safety.

  • The Handler is liable in making sure their dog is fully vaccinated and all vaccinations/boosters are kept up to date.

  • Under no circumstances should your dog attend a session if they seem unwell

  • Only 1 child to be allowed in the training area at one time per family. The adult attending is fully responsible for the safety of the child at all times.

 

Walks & Home visits

Payments

Invoices will be sent out on the 20th of every month. Payment due by 28th of every month.

One off walk's need to be paid in full before the first session.


Cancellation

48 hour notice of cancellation

Either party requires a notice period of 2 weeks to end contract

Should any dog become dangerous or aggressive, the walker may terminate the contract with immediate effect.

 

Holidays

Willow's Walks will provide as much notice as possible of any holidays they are planning to take with no payable fee by the clients.

All clients can take a maximum of 20 days holiday with no payable fee. Any additional holidays/time off will be charged at half rate as a retainer to secure your space.

Services on Bank Holidays can be available upon request.

 

Home Visits

Home visits are 20-30 minutes long.

Dogs can have a small walk included within this time.
