A Bit About Me (Leanne)

I have grown up around animals for as long as I can remember.

Over the years I have had horses, dogs and cats.

Most of my dogs have been rescue until recently, I have one Fox-Red Labradors ‘Willow’ and a working spaniel puppy 'Mouse'.

Up until 2022, dog training had always been my hobby whilst full time teaching complex and challenged young people was my full time employment.

The skills and knowledge I have applied through methods and approaches in my teaching, has always created positive opportunities and experiences. Having a deepened understanding of the impact of trauma, emotional well-being and the importance of trust, positive relationships, rebuilding and repairing to the close links and similarities it has from human to dogs.

My aim is to share my knowledge and experiences with handlers and their dogs so that they enjoy life together, whether that is with dogs who have not had the best start in life to dogs that need some specialist training.

I am currently working through the 'Working Gundog Certificates' with 'The Gundog Club' Willow has achieved a 'Distinction' in all of her grades.

I continue to gain experience in handling, observing and working alongside different breeds of dogs, using force free, positive reinforcement training and guidance by working alongside some of the best Gundog trainers in the country.
